Biography

Dr. Debendra K. Mohapatra has made outstanding original contributions in the area of organic chemistry with a special emphasis on the total synthesis of natural products of medicinal importance. He has developed original and innovative synthetic pathways for the synthesis of complex natural products and carved a niche for himself in the realm of organic synthesis. Dr. Mohapatra is continuously producing trained researchers to proliferate the intense and innovative research which is an important aspect to harness and consolidate the country’s strong position in academia and industry sector. He is having research collaboration with eminent chemist: Prof. Robert H. Grubbs, Prof. Ronald T. Raines etc. His research work has been recognized by a number awards.
