Biography
Dr John Mondal received Ph.D in Chemistry from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Asim Bhaumik. Then he moved to Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2013-2015) for Post-doctoral studies with Prof. Yanli Zhao. After returning in India he joined in CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad as DST-INSPIRE Faculty in April, 2015 to pursue his own independent research career. He is currently working as a Scientist at the Inorganic and Physical Chemistry division in CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad on Porous materials based catalysts development for novel catalytic applications and energy conversion.Dr Mondal’s research interests are mainly focused for the development of novel Porous Organic Polymer based Heterogeneous catalysts in Biomass Conversion and Bio-Fuel Upgrading, Size and Morphology Controlled Nanocatalysis towards Green & Sustainable Chemistry and Photocatalytic water splitting in H2 production in Energy Innovations and conversion. He has made significant contributions in the field of Porous materials based heterogeneous catalysts in various catalytic reactions with 40 publications in high quality international journals (h-index 21 and citations 1229).
Research Interest
