Biography

The work group specializes in developing organometallic chemistry and its applications in bioorganometallic, catalysis, smart materials and sensing. Synthetic organometallic chemistry offers exhaustive and challenging tools for construction of various different types of metal-carbon linkages which display myriad of properties which can be succinctly tuned as per the requirements. The use of instrumental analysis such as electronic spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, calorimetric, fluorimetric and single crystal X-ray diffraction studies are extensively utilized for structure property elucidations. After completion of higher secondary (in 1986) from Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Powai, Mumbai, B.Sc (In 1989) was obtained in CHEMISTRY from Ramnarain Ruia College, Matunga (Affliated to Bombay Universtiy). Both M.Sc (In 1991) (Inorganic Chemistry) and Ph.D (In 1996) (Organometallic Chemistry) was done at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
