Biography
Develop research areas in the mechanical engineering domain of chemical and metallurgical R&D and research management, acquire funding and participate in exciting applied research Provide design, project engineering and quality assurance support from innovation to commercialization. He is Mechanical Engineer with specialization in Production Engineering at M. Tech level. Graduated from Sri Venkateswara University, completed Masters from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay and Doctoral Degree from IIT, Kharagpur. 25+ years of experience in applied R&D, Prototype Development, Scale Up, Engineering Support to R&D, Administration of Engineering Services, Technology Transfer, Infrastructure Planning and Development, Quality Planning & Management and Human Resources Development. Served CSIR- NML earlier for about 15years. Currently holds the position of Senior Principal Scientist and Head, ESD at CSIR-IICT.
Research Interest
His research activities have evolved around the fields of Welding and integrity assessment and in the Mechanical Engineering Domain of Chemical Science and Technology and metallurgy. Currently, I hold interest in the areas of mechano-chemical processing, modelling fluid flow and heat transfer using computation fluid dynamics, structural integrity assessment of welds.
