Biography
Mr.Shankarachar.M Sutar was born on 22nd April 1972 at Gangawathi(Taluka), Raichur District, Karnataka State.Presently he is working as a Senior Scientist in Design and Engineering Division,Indian Institute of Chemical Technology,Uppal Road,Tarnaka, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Past and Present Achievements/Technology Transfer:Design of Light Combat Aircraft (i.e. Detailed Structural Design and CAD Modeling of Air Frame, Carriage Ribs, Langerons, and Main Landing Doors etc.) at ADA Bangalore. Design and Development of Small (10-12) HP Tractor, developed at CMERI, Durgapur (WB) and Technology was transferred to M/s Puzzulana Tractors Hyderabad (AP).Design and Development of Multipurpose Agricultural Equipment, Developed at CMERI, Durgapur (WB) and Technology developed for National Innovation Foundation (NIF) New Delhi. “Technical and Tender Document for Detoxification, Decommissioning and Dismantling of UCIL Plant Bhopal” Prepared at IICT, Hyderabad (AP).
Research Interest
His research Interest includes Mechanical Design & Analysis of Process Equipment and Detailed Engineering of Chemical Plants, CAD Freeform Surface Modeling & Simulation work. Analytical and Experimental Stress Analysis, Structural Mechanics, Vibrations, Deformation Analysis, Vibration Analysis of Carbon Nanotubes and its Mechanics, etc. Also in developing reliable and economical detail designs for equipment, piping and other components of a process plant through application of the research results. The applications are also possible in targeted drug delivery through nanotubes,Actuators,Reinforcement for composite materials, space elevator,Hydrogen storage for fuel cell cars,. Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) tips,Conductive plastics (Electro Magnetic Shielding, protection against antistatic discharges),Electronical nanocomponents (diodes, transistors...),Biosensors for harmful gases, chemical analysis,etc.
