Biography
Dr. Paul has over 18 years of experience (inclusive of his doctoral and postgraduate studies) in architectural design, urban design, post occupancy evaluation (POE), spatial analysis, evidence-based approaches to urban analysis, quantification of urban problems, and development of new tools (algorithms) and techniques in urban planning. He is specialized to deal with transitional areas of planning and design, where the traditional knowledge of spatial science and technology meets the strategic and visionary attributes of urban development. Apart from his registration with Council of Architecture in India, Dr. Paul is a Fellow of Indian Institute of Architects and has published extensively in the areas of urban spatial analysis, transportation planning, and urban design. Many of his publications have entered the Cambridge University Press CrossRef citation list and have been cited by others worldwide. His urban land and infrastructure development works for New Town,Rajarhat for West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) have been presented in the 61st Annual Convention of Indian Road Congress. Dr. Paul has taught at School of Planning and Architecture—Vijayawada (under Ministry or HRD, Govt. of India), Jadavpur University, and at Texas Tech University and has worked with architectural and planning companies in India and the US. Dr. Paul has also received several awards at national and international levels for his contributions to the field.
