Pradeep Kumar Suri

Biography

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Suri served in the Centre Government for more than twenty five years before joining Delhi Technological University. He joined Indian Statistical Service (ISS) in the year 1986 as Group ‘A’ direct recruit officer through UPSC based on an all India competition.  After rigorous initial cadre training - which included learning programmes at several prestigious institutes/organizations spread across the country, compulsory stay at a village and trekking to remote hills to get exposure to life at grassroots - he was posted as Research Officer in the Market Research Division of the Department of Tourism (DoT), Government of India, New Delhi in the year 1988. His contribution during the service period at DoT primarily included organization of progressive computerization of the department, analysis of tourist statistics, organizing tourism potential surveys and, monitoring and evaluation of project studies. He has also been contributing as Chairman/Co-Chairman/Member of intra- and inter-organizational technical and administrative committees/ Working Groups over the years.
