Biography
"Dr. Gagan Garg was born in Yamunanagar. He spent his childhood in Karnal and did his entire schooling from Pratap Public School Karnal. In 1996, he was the first student from Karnal to clear the IIT-JEE (AIR 1092). He moved to IIT Delhi to do B. Tech + M. Tech. in Mathematics and Computing. From 2001 to 2003, he worked with Evalueserve, Gurgaon. From 2003 to 2009, he was a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science and Automation, IISc Bangalore. For his PhD thesis, he worked with Prof. C. E. Veni Madhavan and Prof. P. Vijay Kumar. He defended his PhD thesis in 2010. From 2009 to 2010, Dr. Gagan Garg was a professor at LNMIIT Jaipur. From 2010 to 2012, he was a professor at IIT Mandi, where he got a faculty award for outstanding teaching. Since 2012, he is a professor at DAIICT Gandhinagar. "
