Biography
"Dr. (Mrs.) Z. T. Khan, Prof. and Former Head, (b.10-07-1952) passed her M. A. Geography with Merit in 1975. She was a JRF of UGC for her Ph. D. work and was awarded the degree of Ph. D. in 1983 which was published in 1993 with the financial assistance of ICSSR, New Delhi. She joined the Department in 1983 as Cartographer, then was selected as Lecturer in 1984 and then as Reader in 1993 and elevated as Professor in 2001. Dr. Khan has 02 books to her credit, ‘Environmental Crisis and Urban Planning’ and ‘Bilaspur: A Study in Urban Geography’. She has also contributed to 05 edited works and 53 Research Papers in reputed Journals and edited books. Her field of specialization is Urban and Settlement Geography, Regional Development and Planning and Social Geography."
