Biography
24 years of strong research and development experience, 16 years in prestigious national lab, DRDO, Delhi and 8 years in Industry. From 2007, led R&D groups of biotech company and contributed immensely in the development of pentavalent vaccines. Proficient in strain development, process and analytical development of polysaccahride and recombinant protein based vaccines, recombinant peptides, fermentation based APIs.Developed novel platform for peptides expression with short POC of 2-3 months for peptides of any length and complexity with very high yields. Recipient of prestigious scientist of the year award by Honorable Pri-minister of India in 2005. Published 65 International papers and filed 6 patents. The main strength is ability to develop science driven technologies which is second to none. Good knowledge in developing products for regulated and un-regulated markets. Prior to 2007, I was heading a big group of scientists at DIPAS (defecne Institute of Physiology and Allied sciences) at Delhi. Established various cell line assays and animal model testing protocols for identifying anti-oxidant, cytoprotective and immunomodulatiing compounds from natural plants. Very good experience in working with bacteria to humans. Designed and developed hsp based recombinant vaccines against typhoid and pneumonia.
