Sridar Iyengar

Biography

  Sridar Iyengar is an independent mentor investor in early stage startups and companies. For more than 45 years, he has worked in the UK, US and India with a large number of companies, advising them on strategy and other issues.  He is a co-Founder of Ybiz Ventures an early stage company developing "Learn and Earn" modules for the young. Earlier, Iyengar was a senior partner with KPMG in the US and UK and helped setup and then served for three years as the Chairman and CEO of KPMG’s operations in India. Sridar Iyengar holds directorship in Dr.Reddy Laboratories, Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Limited, ICICI Venture Management Limited, CL Educate Limited, Clear trip Travel Services Private Limited and serves on the Management Board of Murugappa group. He has previously served on the boards of Infosys Limited, Infosys BPO Limited, ICICI Bank Limited, and Rediff.com, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited. He was the past president of TiE Silicon Valley, TiE Global and TiE Mumbai and the Board member overseeing the Clinton Fellowship at American India Foundation. He was also on the governing board of Janaagraha Center for Citizenship and Democracy and co-creator of www.ipaidabribe.com. He is co-Founder of the 360Plus network www.360plus.org focusing on providing "learning through travel" opportunities to low-resourced students in the US and India., Sridar Iyengar holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors degree from the University of Calcutta and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
