Biography

 Chandramauli Balan is the Vice President & Managing Director, Electric Power Generation, India. Emerson Electric Power Generation (EPG) is a global leader in engineering and manufacturing of alternators, addressing seamless power generation needs of customers around the world, for all types of applications including rental & construction, data centers, oil & gas, nuclear, military, hydro, wind, aviation, and traction - just to name a few. Chandra started his journey with Emerson back in 2001 as a Controller Finance at the Emerson Process Management division. In 2005, he became the Director of Operations before being named as the Director of Strategic Planning in 2007. He went on to assume increasingly responsible positions at ASCO Numatics, an Emerson Industrial Automation business where he held the position of Vice President, Finance and Operations from 2008 to 2010. He became the Managing Director of ASCO Numatics in 2010 and then the Vice President of India region in 2013 before going on to assume his current role in 2014. Prior to Emerson, Chandra has spent more than 15 years in significant roles in finance at various organizations for long tenures. He has also served as an Indian Civil Servant from 1991 to 2001. He speaks multiple Indian languages including Tamil, Bengali and Punjabi, in addition to Hindi and English. He is now learning to speak French. Chandra completed his Bachelors in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and then went on to do his Masters in Business Administration from Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. He is also a qualified Cost and Management Accountant from the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.
