Dr. Amit Paithankar

Biography

 Dr. Amit Paithankar assumed office as the Managing Director of Emerson Process Management India in October 2011. Emerson Process Management has established four legal Entities in India, namely Emerson Process Management India, Emerson Process Management Fisher India, Daniel Measurement & Controls India and Virgo Valves & Controls India. Process Management also boasts of three Centers for Engineering Excellence with over 3,000 employees and catering to global projects from India. Under Amit’s leadership, all Emerson Process Management divisions have come together as a combined face to the customers. Process Management is now fully geared to serve any customers requirements in India for field instruments, control systems, associated services and advance control solutions. Amit oversaw the building of their state-of-the-art fully equipped facility in Mumbai (Maharashtra) ​for system integration, testing, FAT, manufacture and assembly of various sub-systems and products. Process Management has thereof spread offices across India to provide instant customer support services wherever the customer is based. Amit started his journey with Emerson back in 2003 as the Head of the Emerson Design Engineering Centre (Pune and Mohali) now called as Emerson Innovation Center and was responsible for setting and growing these centers. In 2009, he became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Emerson Process Management before taking up his current role in 2011. Before joining Emerson, Amit has held several significant roles in other multinational companies. Amit graduated as well as received his doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai​ Technological Institute (VJTI), University of Mumbai, India.
