Marjorie Magner

Biography

Marjorie Magner, a member of Accenture's board of directors since February 2006 and our lead director since January 2014, is a founding member and partner of Brysam Global Partners. Prior to the formation of Brysam, Ms. Magner served as chairman and CEO of the Global Consumer Group at Citigroup from 2003 to October 2005. In this position she was responsible for the company's operations serving consumers through retail banking, cards and consumer finance, as well as for finance, credit and other staff functions. During this time, Ms. Magner was named to the Fortune magazine list of Most Powerful Women in Business from 2001-2004, Forbes magazine list of World's Most Powerful Women (No. 19), and U.S. Banker's list of the Most Powerful Women in Banking (No. 1), among others. In addition to her achievements in business and banking, Ms. Magner is a passionate advocate on issues affecting consumers, women and youth globally. From starting community development and microfinance business units at Citigroup to championing issues such as alleviating global poverty, microfinance and aiding children, Ms. Magner helps to bring a more integrated, innovative business approach to the philanthropic world. Ms. Magner serves as a member of the Brooklyn College Foundation and is on the Dean's Advisory Council for the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. She is non-executive chairman of TEGNA Inc. (formerly known as Gannett Co., Inc.), and also serves on the board of Ally Financial Inc.
