Biography

Dr. Dhana laxmi’s has a personable nature allowing children and parents to feel comfortable. She has an ability to determine the long-term effects of procedures and dental health in children. Her main areas of clinical interests include behavior management of child in dental operating field, special care needs, dental procedure under nitrous oxide inhalation sedation, dental procedure under general anesthesia, prevention and interceptive orthodontics and management of early childhood caries. She has done clinical survey for 1300 Special children and had given oral health education. Her belief is to create an appropriate environment for children to receive whatever dental treatment is appropriate to maintain their oral health. She evaluates the emotional and psychological needs of the child to treat all the dental needs which are required. Her positive attitude towards children promotes a feeling of self-confidence that facilitates a return for routine care which therefore achieves the ultimate goal of the child becoming an orally healthy adult. She is inclined towards participating in blood donation and child oral health programs. She has co- authored many national and international publications.
