Biography
Amitava Tripathi has worked as a diplomat, scholar, social worker and avant-garde artist. His diplomatic career, spanning thirty-six years, took him across the globe and exposed him to an incredible range of artistic expression from the prehistoric to the futuristic. Initiated into the world of art at the age of six while in London (where his father was doing his Ph.D), Amitava has been an avid visitor to the best museums and art galleries of the world. As an Indian diplomat, he was pro-active in promoting of India’s rich cultural heritage abroad, and an abiding interest in other civilizations and cultures led him to delve into humanity's artistic achievements through the ages.
