Biography
Dr. Jayati Srivastava is Professor in International Politics at the Centre for International Politics, Organisation and Disarmament (CIPOD), School of International Studies (SIS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Her research interests include international political economy especially legitimacy of global governance institutions, role of civil society actors in world politics, trade, environment and labour interlinkages, and international environmental politics. Before joining JNU, Jayati was Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, University of Delhi. She has also been a Fellow (Lecturer’s Grade) at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML), New Delhi and at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), New Delhi. She was recipient of the Hermes Fellowship for the year 2007-08 awarded by the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme, Paris. She has also been a Visiting Professor at the Institut d’Études Politiques, Grenoble (2010), France and the Institut d’Études Politiques, Bordeaux, France (2011).
Research Interest
economy especially legitimacy of global governance institutions, role of civil society actors in world politics, trade, environment and labour interlinkages, and international environmental politics.
