Mr. Dabiru Sridhar Patnaik

Biography

Professor Dabiru Sridhar Patnaik is an international lawyer by training. His research interests are International and Humanitarian Legal Studies, Comparative Law, Philosophy of Law, Globalization and Legal Education. His current research inter alia is focused on Legal Aspects of Humanitarian Affairs, Contemporary Ideas of State Sovereignty and Protection of Human Rights, Cultural Commons, Work of the International Law Commission, Law of Treaties, Human Security Approaches to Post-Conflict Peace Building, Globalism in Action and Legal Education. He is the founding Director of the Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies at the Jindal Global Law School. Professor Patnaik teaches courses on Research Methods and Legal Writing (LLM), Comparative Public Law (LLM), Law and Justice in a Globalizing World (LLM) and Seminar on Globalization and International Law. Professor Patnaik is also the Executive Director of the Centre for South Asian Legal Studies (CSALS)
