Biography

 Dr. Sameer Shrivastava is a renowned Cardiologist of the country and currently is the Director and Head of the Department of Non-Invasive Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. He has a proven expertise in performing procedures, such as, 3D Echocardiography, Tissue Doppler Imaging, Strain, 2D Echocardiography, Vascular Dopplers, and Stress Echocardiography. His association with the Fortis Group, since the year 1995, has contributed profoundly to the institution’s development. He has also been instrumental in running and fostering the Non-Invasive Cardiology division at the hospital. At Fortis, Dr. Sameer Shrivastava is also bestowed with the additional responsibility of being the Principal Coordinator of Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology Program, and is also in charge of the institution’s Resident Program. He also takes keen interest in academic and research activities. His contribution to the field of Cardiology has been commendable and exemplary. Dr. Sameer Shrivastava's profound knowledge and experience have gained him several awards and recognitions, such as, Fellowship awarded by the Indian Academy of Echocardiography, Chairman’s Appreciation Award from IMA Academy of Medical Specialties, Clinical Cardiologist of the Year 2003 Award from IMA New Delhi, Fellowship awarded by the Indian Society of Cardiology, Distinguish Service Award and Outstanding Contribution in the field of Cardiology from World Congress on Clinical, Preventive & Geriatric Cardiology (WCCPGC), Certificate of Honor from the Gwalior Medicoes at Indian Medical Association, and many more. He was also recognized as one of the ten distinguished doctors of the year 2006, and was honored by Dr. Yoganand Shastri, Health Minister, Govt. of NCT of Delhi Lions Club, New Delhi Regency.
