Biography

Dr Sharma has been associated with Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur since 2009. He is a Paediatric Neurologist trained in Britain (UK) and his expertise lie in Paediatric epilepsy, Neuro-degerative and neuro-metabolic conditions, Autistic spectrum disorder, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Neuromuscular conditions, Paediatric headache and movement disorder. He received training in Paediatric Neurology at the prestigious Institutes in London (UK). He worked as a Fellow (Registrar grade) in Child Neurology at St Georges University Hospital, London for one and a half years, which included dedicated Electrophysiological training. He was actively involved in management and care of Children with acute neurological problems like meningitis, encephalitis , GBS etc. He had extensive exposure of managing children with complex neurological conditions. He took special training of Paediatric Neurological investigations like EEG, NCV and EMG. Dr. Sharma is one of the few Paediatric Neurology doctors in India who has worked at the world renowned Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital (Hammersmith Hospital) London in the field of Neonatal Neurology and Neuromuscular Conditions. He was actively involved in research and also worked closely in the management of babies, who were recruited for TOBY (Total Body Hypothermia) trial, which examined the role of whole-body cooling in infants with evidence of hypoxia-ischaemia and electrographic abnormalities within the first 6 hours following birth.
