Biography

Dr. Sunil Kumar Agarwal, MBBS, MD (Paediatrics), DM (Neonatology) is a Consultant - Neonatology at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Prior to joining Fortis, he has worked in PGI, Chandigarh for more than 7 years.     Dr. Sunil after completing his basic medical studies (MBBS), attained his post graduation in Paediatrics and super specialization in Neonatology from the renowned institute, PGIMER, Chandigarh.   Dr. Sunil is well known for his work and is one of the reputed neonatologist of the country. He is a pioneer in setting up Level 3 Neonatology unit where he uses his expertise to provide the highest quality of medical care to the new born babies. In the last 4 years, his team has saved many small premature babies and the lowest being a 450 grams baby, which is the smallest to have survived as of today in India. She required 3 months of ICU stay. The story has been covered by local and national newspapers and news channels.     To his credits, he is an achiever of S.S.Manchanda Gold medal Award  in Neonatology Research and has 11 publications in international medical journals.    Memberships: ·         Life member of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) ·         Life member of National Neonatology Forum (NNF) ·         Member of the National Faculty on Neonatal Resuscitation
