Dr.rajeev Bedi

Biography

Dr. Rajeev Bedi, MBBS, MD, DM(Medical Oncology), is a Senior Consultant & the Head of the Department of Oncology at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Conjointly, he is associated with Delwyn Hospital, Chandigarh as a Consultant Oncologist.   After completing his post graduation in Medicine, he went on to complete his super specialisation, DM in Medical Oncology from the best medical institute of the country, All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi. Besides, he has attained fellowship in Hematology in Royal Marsden Hospital in London.       To Dr. Bedi's credits, he is the recipient of the prestigious Geeta Mittal Award for best cancer researcher of the year 2002 by the President of India, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. Moreover, he has been actively involved in research and is a Principal Investigator for many international & national trials in head & neck, lung, GI cancers. He has contributed many papers in various reputed journals and has presented  numerous papers in national & international conferences.   Dr. Bedi is actively involved in public awareness programs through Doordarshan, Radio and print media for creating awareness about cancer among the society. He holds regular camps and public awareness lectures in collaboration with various social organizations.
