Binay Panda

Biography

  Binay has research, industry and entrepreneurial experience in India, USA, UK and Japan. He read Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, UK and received his Doctor of Philosophy Degree there. He received his Post-Doctoral training at the Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California with a Fellowship from the American Cancer Society. He spent the subsequent decade working in the genomics firm Affymetrix and researching on Cancer Genomics in a start-up company, that he co-founded, focusing on cancer screening using genetic markers. Binay was a Visiting Researcher of Genome Sciences at the University of Tokyo, Japan and taught molecular diagnostics at the University of California, Santa Cruz extension, USA. Currently he serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Mazumdar Shaw Translational Centre, Bangalore and a Visiting Professor at the Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Centre, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore.
