Biography
"Dee Mellor is GE Healthcare’s Chief Quality Officer. She leads the business’s global Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical & Clinical Affairs Organization. Dee was appointed to this position in October of 2006. Dee joined GE in 1978 as a member of the Manufacturing Management Program. Upon graduation, she joined GE Aircraft Engines and was responsible for several roles within the Supply Chain. From 1995, Dee held numerous positions in the GE Engine Services business, ranging from leading the Global Customer Support Organization to Global Services Operations. Dee joined GE Healthcare as General Manager of Global Components in 2000. In 2002 she was named Vice President and General Manager, Global Supply Chain and was appointed Vice President, Global Services, a $5B business, in April, 2005. Dee is the Executive Sponsor GE Healthcare's chapters of the Women's Network and GLBTA Employee Groups. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC) and is also involved in work with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology to accelerate the adoption of effective systems engineering approaches to improve reliability, quality and efficiency in healthcare. Dee is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering. She and her husband, Gary Day, have two sons. "
