Ashish Sharma

Biography

 Ashish Sharma is President and Chief Executive Officer for GE Capital in the region. Ashish has been associated with GE for over 16 years and held progressive leadership roles across P&L management, strategy, finance, business development and M&A. He has extensive global experience across multiple GE businesses in India, US, Europe and Japan.   Ashish has been the Business Leader for the GE Capital's India Corporate Lending & Leasing Group from 2010-2014 where he has helped re-position the corporate finance franchise which focuses on providing financing solutions to mid-market, large & MNC companies across a broad range of products such as term lending, structured finance, acquisition finance, corporate aviation financing, equipment lending and auto leasing. Prior to joining GE Capital, Ashish worked at GE Money global HQ in Stamford, CT, USA as Vice President of Strategy, where he supported the strategic planning exercise and drove several strategic initiatives & turnaround projects across multiple business platforms. Ashish returned to India in 2007 to lead the Strategy/M&A function.   Ashish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Allahabad and an MBA from S.P Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. He is also a graduate of GE’s Corporate Audit Staff, GE’s Financial Management Program and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
