Biography
Charles Koontz is President and CEO, GE Healthcare IT, and GE Healthcare Chief Digital Officer (CDO), advancing the company’s strength in digital and outcomes-based solutions for customers. As CDO, Charles works with the GE Digital team and GE Healthcare to maximize GE’s Digital Industrial capabilities. GE Healthcare IT is a global leader in developing software-enabled solutions for Integrated Care. These solutions combine software, consulting services and support to create actionable insights across healthcare systems toward better clinical and financial outcomes.
Research Interest
Charles joined GE in 2016 with 30 years of experience in healthcare, IT solutions and technology innovation. Previously, Charles was Executive Vice President of the Federal Civilian Agencies Group at Computer Sciences Corp (CSC)/CSRA. At CSC, he focused on moving the healthcare industry to next generation IT, mobile and cloud technology, and applying real-time analytics to measure clinical and performance outcomes. Prior to this, he led the commercial healthcare business at Booz Hamilton, creating a health analytics business working with Fortune 500 healthcare companies and leading health systems. He’s held global leadership roles with SAIC, Capgemini and Ernst & Young.
