Biography
"Marcelo Mosci is President & CEO of GE Healthcare’s $8 billion U.S. and Canada Region and is a GE Corporate Officer. With responsibilities spanning GE Healthcare’s imaging, diagnostics, monitoring, information technologies, performance solutions and life sciences offerings, Marcelo leverages the capabilities of GE Healthcare in partnering with providers and governments to improve healthcare quality, access and affordability. Marcelo was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He earned a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1982, from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais State. He started his career as a trainee with a Caterpillar distributor and had extensive international exposure while working for mining and construction heavy machinery manufacturing companies for 17 years, including Komatsu, a GE customer located in Peoria, IL. Marcelo joined GE (GETS) in Brazil in 1999 as the Marketing and Sales Manager for Latin America, progressing to the P&L Manager one year later. In 2001, he was transferred to Erie, PA as the Global Sourcing Manager for GETS. In September 2002, he was named GM, Latin America for GE Medical Systems, and relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil. He became GM of Global X-Ray in February 2004, when he was relocated to Milwaukee, WI. In October 2005 Marcelo Mosci became President of Latin America Operations for Baxter in the USA. He rejoined GE in October 2006 as the President & CEO of GE Latin America and in March 2009, transferred to China as the President & CEO of GE Healthcare Greater China. Marcelo moved back to the United States in October 2010 to his current position leading GE Healthcare’s U.S. and Canada Region."
