Biography

"J. Gustavo Perez-Fernandez is President of GE Healthcare's Surgery business headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Gustavo is an experienced, globally-minded and collaborative leader having served in a broad range of roles in operations, product management and engineering. Gustavo joined GE Healthcare in 1999 as a design engineer in Buc, France. In 2004, he joined the Molecular Imaging and Computed Tomography (MI&CT) business leading its global order fulfillment group. He later expanded his responsibilities to include the design transfer teams and supply chain strategy for the entire business unit. In 2008, Gustavo was appointed as head of the program office for Premium and Cardiology CT, responsible for product offerings and technologies such as ASiR, Veo and Gemstone Spectral Imaging. Since 2010, Gustavo has served as General Manager of MICT Engineering and was responsible for the development and release of numerous highly successful products, including the Revolution CT and the Discovery IQ (PET/CT). Gustavo was born in Madrid, Spain. He holds two Masters of Science in Telecommunication Engineering and in Applied Statistics. Gustavo also earned his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 2008."
