Biography
Prof.S.Ganapaty served Andhra University as a Principal, AU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences during 2010-13 and retired as the Rector of Andhra University in 2013. Obtained Sri J.J.Rao award for best Ph.D. thesis in 1987; received Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan best academician award in 2006; best researcher award in 2007 and pharmacy teacher of the year, a National award (APTI) in 2007. Supervised 40 Ph.D. theses, published more than 150 research papers in reputed National and International journals; having 2 patents to his credit.

His main research interests include Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry
