Biography

Andrew is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Finance Director, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and Vice President Finance, South Asia. Since his arrival in India, Andrew has focussed on returning the business to growth and meeting profit targets. He also revised the structure of the finance team towards the TOM model and worked to strengthen the compliance framework. Andrew has reviewed three acquisition opportunities for the company and is also in the process of disposing of discontinued brands. He has developed a solution with Global CSR teams on the local financing of Albendazole for the eradication of Lymphatic Filariasis. Andrew is an active member of the local Board and Audit Committee, as well as a member of the local Pharmaceutical Association for Finance and Taxation. He won an award in July 2015 as one of India’s most influential CFOs.Andrew has a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Accountancy from Loughborough University. He is also a Fellowship Chartered Accountant of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales), having qualified with Price Waterhouse in London.
