Mr. Glenn Saldanha

Biography

  Glenn Saldanha is the Chairman & Managing Director of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited. Glenn joined Glenmark Pharmaceuticals in 1998 as Director and took over as Managing Director & CEO in 2001.   As Chairman & Managing Director of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, Glenn Saldanha oversees the entire operations of the organization. During his tenure, he has managed to transform Glenmark from an Indian-driven branded generics business into a research-driven innovation-led organization that focuses on discovering new molecules. Simultaneously he has built a strong branded formulations business across emerging economies including India and has also established a strong foothold in the US generics market in a short period. Mr. Saldanha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from Mumbai University and is an MBA from Leonard Stern School of Business, New York University. Prior to Glenmark, Mr. Saldanha has worked with Eli Lily, USA and Price Water House Coopers, USA.
