He is a notable Professor in the Department of Botany ( Goa University). He has an experience of more than 15 years. He got Silver medal for Best Paper Presentation for 10th Annual Congress of NationalEnvironment Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi (1995). • Recipient of Young Scientist Research Project Award from Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi (1995-96). • Recipient of Young Scientist Research Project Award from Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi (1999-2000). • M. J. Thirumalachar Memorial Award for Best Poster co-authored along with Ms. Mehtab J. Bukhari at International Symposium on Frontiers of Fungal Diversity and diseases in South East Asia. DDU Gorakhpur University. U.P. (2001). • M. J. Thirumalachar Memorial Award for Best Poster co-authored along with Ms. Sharda W. Khade at National Symposium on Prospecting of Fungal Diversity and Emerging Technologies. MACS, Pune (2003). • Best Poster Award co-authored along with Ms. Seema Dessai at National Conference on "Biodiversity Conservation in India: Status and Approaches" Organized by Gopalkrishna Gokhale College, Kolhapur and Indian Women Scientists' Association (IWSA), Kolhapur Branch, M. S. (2010). • Best Poster Award co-authored along with Mr. James D'Souza at National Conference on "Microbial Inoculants" jointly organized by Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem, Goa and NIO, Dona Paula, Goa (2010). • Received "Excellence Award" from the Tanzanian Parents Network Foundation at the hands of Lt. Col. Michael K. Tarimo on 31.12.2010. • Elected Fellow of Mycological Society of India (MSI) (2013). • Elected as Fellow of Indian Society of Mycology and Plant Pathology (2014). • Awarded Honorary Fellowship of the International Scientists Unique Researches' Yare Association (FISURYA), Jhansi, (2014).
