Biography
Dr. Thakar did his Medical Degree from the reputed Grant medical College, Mumbai, India, in 1975 and obtained his MS degree in surgery in 1978. From 1979 to 1984 he trained in Ireland and England (The London Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow, Gruby Road Hospital Leister, Regional Hospital Limerick) and consequently qualified for the Fellowship of the Royal College in 1980. His further career brought him from India (Pune) to Saudi Arabia (Jeddah National Hospital) and finally to RAK Hospital in 2010, where he has successfully set-up the department of Urology. His experience covers the entire field of urology including urological reconstructive pediatric surgery and urological cancer surgery.
