Balaram Patro

Biography

 Balaram Patro is the Chief Executive Officer of GRK Research Labs. He has over 25 years of extensive experience in synthetic chemistry, scientific management and operations.  He has held several leadership roles in Indian Contract Research Organisations. Earlier, Patro was the Sr. VP and Head of Chemistry Services at GVK Biosciences. Before to that he worked at Chemgen and Chembiotek. He worked with more than 100 international clients in the field of Drug Discovery, agro research, material science as well as large scale synthesis and led a team of 900 members. Patro received PhD in Chemistry from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, India. Prior to joining industril organisations, he participated in research activities at Université René Descartes (Paris V), Universität Konstanz, Germany as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow and University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.  Patro published around 40 original research articles in international journals and active in academic research with several PhD students registered under his guidance.
