Biography
Dr. Arun Anand is an Assistant Professor at Department of Surgery and Radiology, College of Veterinary Sciences, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana, India.
Research Interest
Worked on and found that scrotal urethrostomy worked uneventfully in irreparable damage to the urethra like os penis fracture, recurrent urolithiasis, injury to penis etc. Involved in work of caesarean section by ventral midline celiotomy under general anesthesia to deliver the foetus and subsequently detort the uterus with high survival rate and successful breeding in mares. Presently working on equine colic patients due to gastrointestinal and non gastrointestinal in origin. Involved in study involving Butorphenol-Aceoromazine-Glycopyrolate (BAG), Propofol and Isoflurane combination in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries in dogs. Worked on Midazolam-butorphanol-propofol-isoflurane combination for surgeries requiring longer duration because of good sedation, moderate analgesia, excellent muscle relaxation along with fast and smooth recovery.
