Research Interest
Specialization in area of male and female reproduction viz. • Ovarian Physiology/ Ovarian Cell Biology in birds and mammals. • In vitro fertilization (homologous as well as heterologous fertilization) • Current area of research is on male reproduction i.e. Semen cryopreservation of buffalo and cattle bulls and semen quality control tests to improve the fertility of dairy animals. Already worked on semen characteristics, discard rate and fertility in Murrah buffalo bulls; Effect of non egg yolk extender on the survivability of spermatozoa. Serum enzyme levels in fertile and infertile buffalo and cattle bulls; Effect of semen colour on semen characteristics in cattle bulls; Effect of exotic inheritance on seminal parameters and conception rate in crossbred bulls; Age at attainment of semen freezability vis-a-viz semen characteristics and fertility in Murrah buffalo bulls etc. • Presently I am interested to work in the area of ovarian physiology i.e. in vitro oocyte maturation, follicular selection and stem cell cryopreservation etc.
