Dr. Sandeep Sodhi Kakkar is a Senior Biochemist at Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, India.
Research Interest
Major expertise in the field of Animal and Clinical Biochemistry worked extensively on (1) metabolic diseases of poultry viz Studies of bone function in chicks with rickets , Studies of kidney function in chicks with gout, Experimental studies to induce gout in chicks by sodium bicarbonate toxicity , Biochemical profile in chicks with hyperthermia and protective role of vitamin C , Biochemical studies in hepatic lipidosis in chicks (2)Studies on Aflatoxicosis and chronic organophosphate Insecticide toxicity viz Biochemical studies on combined effects of aflatoxin and malathion in broiler chicks, Biochemical and immunological studies in chicks experimentally fed AFB1 in diet, Experimental toxicity of bromodialone in layer birds , Experimental chronic toxicity of quinalphos in broiler chicks. Effect of dietary supplements of selenium, Vitamin E or combinations of the two on antibody response of broilers,Protective effects of Vitamin E and Selenium supplementation on Malathion,Chlorpyrifos,Imidachlorpid hepatotoxicity,Nephrotoxicity and Immunotoxicity in chicks and layers.
