Biography
I am now working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology and Tribal Devolvement, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalay, Bialspur. My current research is exclusively concentrate on the issue of implementation of Forest Rights Act, 2006 and its impact on Scheduled Tribal people of West Midnapore district, West Bengal. My research also critically evaluate State role in community forest management. I have done an intensive fieldwork among the Santal and Lodha communities on the problems of forest policy and forest rights. I have also worked as Guest Faculty at the Centre for Indigenous Cultural Study, Central University of Jharkhand. I have presented my research findings in national seminar and international conference respectively.
