M.Sc. in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee and Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology from IIT Delhi. She has more than ten years of research/teaching experience. Her areas of research include Environmental Biotechnology: Isolation of microbes and enzyme production for bioremediation and biotransformation processes; Waste water treatment; industrial waste management; Enzyme Technology : Enzyme purification, characterization.
