Biography

Dr. Milind Parle M. Pharm, Ph.D., is working as a Professor of Pharmacology and Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (A-Grade Accredited by NAAC), Hisar (Haryana). Dr. Parle has more than 30 years of teaching, administrative and research experience to his credit. Prior to taking up academic position in the University, Dr. Parle had served on All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi, in the capacity of a Dy. Director. He has published more than 300 research articles in prestigious National and International Journals. As per Google scholar, Dr. Parle has h - index of 26, I-10 index as 52 and his research papers have more than 2381 Citations. His areas of research include Psychopharmacology, Behavioral Pharmacology, Neuro-pharmacology, Alzheimer’s disease, Music Therapy, Sports Sciences and Traditional and Complementary systems of Medicine. The thought provoking academic talks delivered by Dr. Parle as an invited speaker during National and International conferences reflect his excellent oratory and communication skills. He presented four research papers in 20th International Conference of Alzheimer’s disease held at Kyoto (Japan) in 2004. He successfully organized several Conferences//Workshops related to “Pharmacy - Profession and Management of Alzheimer’s Disease” at G. J. University campus. Prof. Parle was awarded Major Research Projects by University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi on “Discovery of Memory Enhancers and Benefits of Indian Systems of Medicine”. He is a life member of several National and International professional bodies related to Pharm. Sciences. He has so far guided 35 M. Pharm Research projects and Twelve Doctoral Theses. Furthermore, he is associated with Animal welfare activities for last 12 years. Prof. Milind Parle serves as an Expert for Pharmacy Council of India, AICTE, and UGC, New Delhi and several Expert committees constituted for Ethical Experimentation in animals and human beings. Prof. Parle has bagged several Research paper awards in National and International conferences. He has been nominated as the Chief Editor of the Journal “Annals of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences”. Prof. Parle has represented Delhi State in National Chess Championship and is presently an Internationally (FIDE) Rated Chess player. Prof. Parle was recently invited as a Plenary speaker by Malaysian Govt. in Aug. 2014 to share his research experience at Mara University of Technology, Puncak Alam, Malaysia. Prof. Parle has filed Seven patents in the area of Psychopharmacology. Prof. Parle was conferred prestigious Rashtriya Gaurav Award -2013 at India International centre, New Delhi for his outstanding achievements. Dr. Parle was conferred the Best Pharmacy Teacher Award for the year 2015 during second Annual Conference of Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI) held at M.D. University, Rohtak.
