Biography
Dr Deepak Srivastava is working as Professor in the Department of Plastic Technology, H. B. Technical University (Formerly H.B.T.I.), Kanpur for the last 24 years. He teaches subjects related to B. Tech Chem. Tech. – Plastic Tech. particularly rheology & testing of polymers, structure & property of polymers, advanced polymer materials, polymeric adhesives & foams, polymer processing, fibre technology, polymer blends, polymer materials, etc. He completed his doctoral degree on the topic “Synthesis and Characterization of Thermotropic Liquid Crystalline Polymers (LCPs) with Mesogenic Side Groups”. He has worked extensively in polymers from renewable resource materials particularly bio-mass derived thermosetting polymers. He has also worked on polymer blends, polymer degradation, liquid crystalline polymers, coatings, etc. He has produced 11 PhDs and published more than 80 papers in journals of National and International repute. He is member of various National and International professional bodies. He has completed various projects from CSTUP, UGC, AICTE, CSIR, etc. He has been reviewer of various International journals from Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor and Francis, etc. He also conducted various short term courses and conferences/seminars. He has participated in various summer/winter school and short term courses conducted by IIT, HBTI, etc. He has been member of various committees at institute level and also looked after research and developments, as Assistant Dean, R&D, in the institute.
