Vijay Anand Guntur

Biography

Vijay is Corporate Vice President - ERS PTS & SDES at HCL Technologies. He heads the Software and Digital Engineering delivery of ERS, and is also responsible for all of the product testing delivery in ERS. With over 27 years of experience, he is implementing strategies to accelerate HCL’s Mode 2 and 3 business initiatives and building leadership capabilities in ERS. With his technology cognizance and fine business sense, he is responsible for driving growth in ISV, Online, Telecom Service Provider, IoT and Digital Engineering areas. He also promotes initiatives like diversity and inclusion programs in HCL. Vijay has provided leadership to the incubation of the Mode 3 strategy implementations and its growth. As part of the organization’s development, he led the effort to start-up new locations for HCL in Hyderabad, Redmond and Pune. He has headed several organization-wide initiatives like Business Process Reengineering (BPR), including the Value Creation, Rewards and Recognition, Integrated Service Delivery and Multi Service Delivery ways of working. He joined HCL in 1989, starting in Research & Development building products, to incubating HCL Technologies in the services business and was responsible for building system software capabilities of the organization. Prior to the current role, Vijay was in charge of incubating and building global businesses in the Media & Entertainment and Retail verticals in HCL Technologies. Vijay has an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth school of Business and a computer science background from BITS, Pilani.
