Biography
Amit Majumdar is a recent addition to our Management Team. Over the last 20 years of his career, he has gained significant expertise in building large scale operations profitably, business expansion, M&A, Corporate Finance and Restructuring. Most recently, Amit was with AGS Transact Technologies, a leader in providing Banking Payments Solutions with USD 185mn in revenues, as their Group President and CFO. Prior to AGS, he was associated with Angel Broking, a leading retail Financial Services Firm, for more than a decade. He was involved in the growth of Angel Broking from 15 branches and 120 employees to 170 branches and 6000 plus employees spanning across the Indian geography. At Angel, his role required him to incubate new businesses, envisage Group-level business strategy, decision making and implementation besides assisting in Operations, Risk, Compliance, Human Resource, and Marketing & Corporate Communications. He was part of several closed group discussions on matters of regulatory importance. His contributions have resulted in formulation of several landmark regulations for the Capital Markets. In his previous assignments, he was associated with Ernst & Young, Cho Hung Bank, Rabo India Finance & Ambit Corporate Finance Pte Ltd. Amit is a Chartered Accountant by qualification.
