Axel Kleemann

Biography

"Professor Axel Kleemann holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, where he is the Honorary Professor of Chemistry. Prof. Kleemann was a member of the Management Board of ASTA Medica AG from 1987 to 2000. He was responsible for research and development, production, engineering and drug safety. Apart from being a board member in various organizations and scientific societies in Germany, Prof. Kleemann is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Protagen AG and a member of the Board of Directors of several non-listed and listed biotech and fine chemical companies. Prof. Kleemann is the co-author of the standard reference book, 'Pharmaceutical Substances'.
