Subrata Chattopadhyay research interests are Organic Synthesis: Synthesis design of natural products and congeners, Development of new asymmetric reactions, Organometallic chemistry. Natural Products: Natural radiomodifiers, anticancer agents and antiulcer drugs. Biocatalysis: Non-aqueous Enzymology & microbial transformation, Enzymatic asymmetric reactions, Studies and modulation of enzyme topology, Bioremediation of organic and metallic wastes. Chemoenzymatic enantioselective syntheses. Chemical Biology : Antioxidants and redox chemistry and biochemistry, Design of photo and radiosensitizers, Drug design for cancer and gastric ulcer therapy, New drug for nuclear medicine, Novel Material Chemistry: Design of molecular hosts, Studies on supramolecular photoactive assemblies.
