Biography

I'd joined IBM Labs (India) in October 2015. My research interests fall at the intersection of mathematical programming, optimization, game theory, and scientific computing. From the standpoint of practice, these cover applications ranging from automotive design, groundwater modeling, and power markets to backend analytics in retail, portfolio analysis, and workforce management. Prior to joining IBM, I'd worked for Argonne National Labs (U.S. Department of Energy) in Chicago, IL as a Developer and Oracle Corporation as a Research Scientist in Boston, MA. I hold a Doctorate from Penn State, a Masters from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and a Bachelors from College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai, India. Besides applied research, I'm very much into solver development pertaining to quadratic programming and derivative free optimization and theoretical aspects of variational inequalities. Please feel free to reach out to me if I can be of any help - links to some of my old software can be found in the last tab above! I'd joined IBM Labs (India) in October 2015.
