Biography
Dr. Jagabondhu Hazra is managing the cognitive IoT team for Precission Agriculture & Renewable -IBM Research India. Before joining IBM in 2010, he received his PhD in Power Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a post doctorate from SUPELEC, France. After joining IBM, he led several smart grid projects with multiple electric utilities and governments. Until recently, he was heading the UBD-IBM research centre in Brunei and successfully led multiple projects on energy efficiency with Brunei Govt. He also worked as an adjunct faculty at University Brunei Darussalam, Brunei. He has filed more than 15 patents at USPTO and published more than 60 papers in international journals and conferences. For his contributions in the area of precission agriculture and smart grid, he has received many awards such as INAE Young Engineer Award-2013, Best of IBM-2015, IBM Eminence and Excellent award, IBM Outstanding Technical Achievements Award, etc. Dr. Jagabondhu Hazra is managing the cognitive IoT team for Precission Agriculture & Renewable -IBM Research India.
