Biography
Sougata Mukherjea is a Senior Researcher and Senior Manager of the Telecom Research & Innovation Center (TRIC) in IBM Research - India. Before joining IBM, he held research and software architect positions in companies in Silicon Valley (California) including NEC USA, Inktomi and BEA Systems. His research interests include Middleware technologies and its applications to Telecom, Information Retrieval and Text Mining. Education: 1995: Ph.D. (Computer Science), Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Advisor: Prof. James Foley. Dissertation Title: Visualizing the Information Space of Hypermedia Systems 1991: M.S.
