Biography

Recipient of the Professor T. N. Ananthakrishnan Award 2006 for the contributions made in the field of biological control. Received the Dr S. Sithanantham Bio-control Award for 2010-11 on the 25th April, 2012 during the “National Symposium on Plant Protection in Horticultural Crops: Emerging Challenges and Sustainable Pest Management” held at IIHR, Bangalore (25th to 28th April, 2012). Received NBAIR Scientific Excellence Award 2015. Received ICAR Panjabrao Deshmukh Outstanding Woman Agricultural Scientist Award 2015. Received partial travel grants from CSIR, ICAR and the organizers - Beijing Academy of Sciences for attending and presenting a research paper at the International Symposium on mass production and commercialization of arthropod biological control agents, October, 21-24, 2011, Beijing, China. Conferred with the Fellowship of Association for Advancement of Pest Management in Horticultural Ecosystems (AAPMHE) on the 25th April, 2012 during the “National Symposium on Plant Protection in Horticultural Crops: Emerging Challenges and Sustainable Pest Management” held at IIHR, Bangalore (25th to 28th April, 2012). First rank holder for M Phil (Zoology) under Calicut University Won the best paper award for a paper based on Ph D work. Ballal, C. R. and Singh, S. P. (2001).
