Biography

She was Awarded Excellence in Research Award for accomplishment in the field of Agriculture and Allied Sciences by Samgra Vikas Welfare Society, Lucknow in June 2017. Awarded Fellow of Association of Advancement of Pest Management in Horticultural Ecosystem (AAPMHE), Bangalore in June, 2015. Awarded HTHS Gold Medal at “International Conference on Technological interventions in Agricultural Sciences for Enhanced Productivity, Nutritional quality and Value addition (TIAS – 2014)” conducted at Central Institute of Horticulture, Dhimapur, Nagaland during 17-19 February, 2015. Awarded Dr. Jagadiswari Rao Women Scientist Award by Applied Zoologists Research Association, CRRI, Cuttack in February, 2014. Awarded best poster presentation award for the paper “Species diversity and distribution of the genus Anomala Samuoelle (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) in India and importance of endophallus in species diagnostics” at National Symposium on at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh during 14-15 November, 2014. Awarded Insect Environment Young Scientist award by Insect Study and Conservation Network, Bangalore in January, 2013. Awarded NUFFIC NFP fellowship by Netherlands government to attend training on “IPM and food safety” at Wageningen University, The Netherlands from 18 May to 12 June 2009. Awarded best oral presentation award for the paper, Screening of acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) varietal collections for resistance to thrips, Scirtothrips sp. at National Symposium on “Sustainable Pest Management for Safer Environment” organized by Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Orissa during 6-7 December 2007. Awarded CSIR Senior Research Fellowship towards Doctoral research.
